Dressing on theme

Something we love to do is asses what our outing consists of, and dress on theme. This should come to no surprise to our followers who have seen our Halloween and Christmas outfits year after year, but it doesn't have to be a holiday for you to "dress the part." Maybe it's a wine tasting or a pop-up bar. The truth is, getting dressed can be difficult! We're giving away one of our style secrets: Dressing on theme makes getting ready easy.

This night out was a wine-tasting, so I figured why not dress like wine! Monochromatic looks are so stylish, and this all-burgundy look is a show-stopper. I'm so in love with these boots from Journee Collection. The platform and chunky heel make them so comfortable and it's a nice break from my almost entirely black boot collection. I highly recommend having one pair of colored boots, especially if you have clothes to match.

These looks were for a chalet themed pop-up bar. Now that we're living in a world of "Instagram-worthy" bars and restaurants, curating your outfit around the theme will make so much more impact in photos and videos! We opted for cozy nordic-print knits, hats, and even faux fur leg warmers.

Looking for a theme makes getting dressed fun! If you have an event or activity coming up that you need help putting together a look for, let us know in the comments and we'll offer our advice.
