La Gondola is a MUST in Rhode Island

This past weekend I headed up to New England for 4th of July festivities with my family. The trip was filled with fun family time and wonderfully romantic moments (which I'm sure you could get a glimpse of on my snapchat: wanderlust-girl.) One thing I've always wanted to do on my visits home is take a ride with La Gondola on their beautiful Venetian style gondolas in Providence. I was so pleased when they agreed to have me for a Sunday evening ride. I put on my new LBD I picked up from 2ta on Houston street and some strappy heels for the occasion.

We arrived just in time with a bottle of my favorite, sparkling rosé and climbed aboard. Marcello, our marvelous gondolier and owner of La Gondola, rowed us along while we sipped bubbly and ate complimentary biscotti. He filled us in on a few historical facts, but left just enough time for smooching and some much needed peace on the water. (My family is quite loud... trust me, it was a nice break.) As if this trip could not get any more romantic, Marcello began to sing songs in Italian while we paused under the bridges along the way, just as dusk was approaching. I left with stars in my eyes, slightly tipsy, and a big smile on my face (with teeth this time... not pictured.) This is a MUST do while visiting Providence! A fabulous time guaranteed.
